newsweek.com — Today's 20-something guys are less likely to read a newspaper, attend church, vote for president or believe that people are basically trustworthy, helpful and fair. The percentage of 26-year-olds living with their parents has nearly doubled since 1970.

Doesn't surprise me. Is this supposed to be news? All guys in my age group are like this.

Wow, my world in terms of age and sex, but not my experience. Although, this article did hint as to why I feel so isolated and misunderstood at times. I am nothing like these men, except for appearance, age and whiteness. But now I know why it takes people forever to shed the image of a frat-idiot-drunk-douche after they first meet me. (even though I hardly drink, never joined a frat, and *hopefully* am not a douche)

Because those who take public transit need something to read while going to work.

I thought you were sarcastic at first, but now that I see you're serious, I just want you to know that you come off as a dumbass. spoiled and immature, with a healthy overbearing sense of entitlement. You'll go far with that attitude. Grow up, kid.

@cornerback42: "Then again we're all only a product of our own environments."I really hope that statement was a joke, because that is the most cop-out lame f**king victimizing excuse I've ever heard. For example, people bitch and bitch about "oh, poor people can work hard and do better if they try."Which, for a large part, I very much agree. I know someone very close to me that grew up with barely any money at all, food to eat, anything in general. But his mother DID work really hard and did in fact, work her way up to become the successful woman she is today. He also works hard and can afford many nice things. He was NOT a product of his environment and neither was his family. They've worked hard for everything they have and are much better people because of it. Had they have been "products of their environment," they'd be living off of Welfare and being a drain on our society. This is more towards @pablo0713:And wtf does anybody who DOESN'T have kids know how it's like to have them? Ungrateful kids? That's all in how YOU raise them. Until you hear your kid say your name, smile at seeing your face, or hear their first laugh, you can't say s**t about what it's like to have your own.If you want to be content being a selfish, lonely person because you're so bitter because "life won't give me anything for trying" then that's fine. Maybe if you'd put a little effort instead of bitching and being a f**king victim, you'd get a little more out of life. And I really do hope you meet the right woman, or meet the right ANYTHING because you have such a negative view on f**king everything without really having experienced it. I will admit, that is VERY childish.

You're not too bright are you? That's okay. You enjoy your ignorance, and I'll enjoy the enlightenment I've received having actually acted like a scientist, testing a proposed experiment before criticizing its results.Maybe someday you'll learn a few things like what logic is and the scientific method, but until that day I'm not going to waste my time explaining anything to someone who acts like they're 16 and already knows everything.

Sorry, the 'you' in that post was not pointed at you.

spxiii: Why do you need a fairy tale to teach you love and respect? I dont understand you people...
evarlastSep 7, 2008
Its because people, especially parents and girlfriends let guys get away with this crap. But even would-be gentlemen let their slacker friends get away with his boy behavior instead of holding them accountable as men.

Well looks like you Yankee's are the idiots reading this post. Perhaps you ought to get your head out of your New York ass and cross the border to meet some of the right people. Canada, it's north, ask for help for which way that is eh.P.S.: if you're going to flame try adding some intelligence eh, maybe a citation or something, or your just proving my point. But you'll be okay, they drive on the right there too. And they have corn flakes
auroraeSep 11, 2008
Wtf? You're the one with s**tty grammar. You don't pluralize nouns by adding apostrophe s. How is my comment a flame? Why do I need citations for something that is commonly known by non-idiots? Learn the difference between your and you're.
regoolianSep 16, 2008
your = your stupid retort obviously show that you are the one who needs the English lessons but then you do speak Yankee.you're = you are the one who is the bloody idiot: "if you are going to flame...." is correct.
