I wish I could say that either of the Democrats or the Republicans were interested in protecting the Constitution. But they're not. They both have their pet projects and ideas that happen to be inline with key elements of the Constitution, but it's just coincidence. Neither of them care for it beyond a historical document.

It is easy to become disillusioned with politics when considering the state of affairs of the current U.S. two-party system. In the words of George Carlin your only real choice in the U.S. is "paper or plastic?" Spineless, opportunistic Democrats oppose ruthless Republicans. Where is the fun in that?
