forum.osx86project.org — Is this the world of legacy BIOS emulation we all wanted? Is this XP and Linux and Vista and all the OS goodness running on Intel Macs? It seems Boot Camp is designed only to provide XP with drivers, the new firmware update for Intel Macs adds all the support an Intel Mac needs to boot the OS!

Swapping from operating system to operating system quickly is NOT hard. It's a matter of having a process above both of them that manages a quick hibernation/awakening scheme. This could be implemented, but it would have to be embedded in both operating systems in some way.

Anyone ever wonder why Microsoft pushed back Vista...I can hear it now... "Macs run OS X and they even run Windows XP faster than Dell & HP. Macs use state of the art EFI, not the 1980's BIOS...""Guess which Computer I will buy to run Windows faster, be future technology proof with EFI and it also runs Mac OS X ?!?"Well I guess Dell & HP and others said/forced Microsoft, "YOU better make Vista run on EFI or else Apple will have eat up our customers!"Delay Vista but make it run EFI! -Dell, HP, eMachines, etc.

You can already boot Windows, Linux, and OSX at the same time using Xen. I'm not sure about video support though, you might have to use VNC. I'm sure video support is coming, if it doesn't have it already.

"Are you are aware that there is a HUGE business market that does not download all of their software from torrents? There are legitimate businesses and customers out there you know. And to answer your question, yes... everyone knows what bittorrent is Sherlock."And there is a huge market out there of people who are involved in shady practices who has never paid for software in their life. Im not saying anyone is an idiot for buying it. Im just calling it as I see itand I was being sarcastic

Its gonna be extremely intresting now how the gaming experience works out on a mac than on a PC. But great work from apple. Its slowly lurring people away and eventually converting them into OSX lovers.
