This is a switch for Congress. Back in 1988, during the Reagan years, they passed a special bill to give Rupert Murdoch citizenship and allow him to create what would become the Fox News Network. He received many special waivers from the worst FCC chairman in history, Mark Fowler, which allowed him to build a media empire that is not only vast but corrupt. His book publishing arm provided Newt Gingrich with a $4.5 million advance in 1990. That's the way political bribes work in the US. None of that sordid under the table dealing that you see in third world countries.

Dugg minus the last part. As long as anyone and everyone can submit postings from anywhere, and the site continues to be monitored by the users and not the administrators, then we'll stay in good shape. If not, another site will come along to fill the need. I'm hoping that if they do sell, the buyers will value what they've purchased.
