The Geneva Conventions is all about countries realizing that we are all ways going to have war and disagreements but for the sake of humanity, do it in a respectful manner.Geneva Conventions dont need to be defined black and white. It is obvious when the lines of human respect have been crossed. I dont feel terrorists deserve this respect but I do feel the US government should give that respect regardless because that is what America is (or should be).
And by which process have you determined that one is a terrorist? The only J a c k a s s es are the ones who say "they are terrorists" before they have been provent to be terrorists in a court of law. You just don't get it do you? No one here wants terrorists to "go free" or get "special treatment"; stop putting the conviction before the process of law; you are innocent of terrorism until proven guilty, not guilty when the government officials decide that you are guilty sans evidence. Suspending habeas corpus is simply an abomination of the legal system that has been a part of civilized society for centuries!
i would think the u.s. should take the moral high ground in all cases. your hero bush has turned his country into a place where if u dis agree with any aspect of the war u are aiding and abetting, u cant declare a war on a tactic which is what terrorism is and if u do than u have to go after all terroists and there supporters the saudis have telethons for suicide bombers and bush holds the kings hand, this is a war without end sort of like the war on drugs, it became the thing to do with problems dont figure out why just declare war on the problem of the week now the country that said gve us your tired and weak has become no better than north korea china syria and any other country that says the rule of law is what the leader says it is, hopefully for bush, rice rummy cheny ,there is a god and he is vengeful beyond comprehension.
Yeah, I am very frustrated that most of my servants in Louisiana voted like that too. Like insinuate said. "Not all of us are like that."Ponder this definition under 'Sec. 950v. Crimes triable under military commissions'.(23) TERRORISM - An alien unlawful enemy combatant subject to this title who intentionally kills or inflicts great bodily harm on one or more persons, or intentionally engages in an act that evinces a wanton disregard for human life, in a manner calculated to influence or affect the conduct of government or civilian population by intimidation or coercion, OR TO RETALIATE AGAINST GOVERNMENT CONDUCT, shall be guilty of the offense of terrorism and shall be subject to whatever punishment a commission may direct, including, if death results to one of the more of the victims, the penalty of death.Am I right or is the key word in the caps the OR?,OR retaliate against government conduct??Because with OR being after that comma it null and voids all the horrible stuff before it.So if i disagree with the way my servants are behaving and I speak out on that - retaliate - then i am a terrorist?
Sorry Mr. Korematsu. I am ashamed of this country. Ashamed of U.S. citizens who now laud waterboarding, which we as a country prosecuted after WWII as a war crime. We fought against that. Now we are them. Americans are so naive as to think this law could never be applied to them. They cannot imagine a Caligula in the Oval Office. They don't realize that the only thing that separates them from prison is the honesty and sanity of the president. The myopia is appalling. This, combined with the Real ID Act, is the seed of a police state. This is how they begin. We have disgraced every soldier who died in the Revolution. What's next? Eliminate the two-witnesses-to-treason law?

Don't ask, don't tell. You bet your life torture has happened and will continue to happen regardless of the official laws.
