Turns out there had been more than 2 dozen calls between these guys and the White House, all within 3 days of election day 2004. Recently the republican party had paid millions in legal bills to defend these people.

The public school system is in disarray, and it needs to be more appropriately funded and given greater authority, as well as involving the parents (whether they want to be involved or not, the lazy f**ks). On the other hand, the military is an incompetent, wasteful, bloated bureaucracy that needs to be pruned down and rebuilt into a more efficient, more cohesive, and less redundant force.I'm the son of a career English teacher, the husband of a school librarian, and a veteran, so I think I know a little of what I speak ;)The right to a free and public education, coincidentally, would seem to go completely counter to everything I know of Libertarianism. Which, I should mention, is a crock of s**t.... the answer is reform, not total laissez-faire capitalism and unregulated big business that will land us back in the Great Depression or Tzarist Russia.
