thinkprogress.org — The White House issued a statement yesterday saying that President Bush was ?pleased with the Attorney General?s testimony.? I was about to joke, "Heckofajob," but I didn't want the next word to be misconstrued. I understand that some conservatives are very sensitive about race when a conservative is seemingly attacked.Although I will say (having seen the hearings but not read the article), I'm extremely pleased that the President would stand up and agree that Gonzales should resign.

Why on earth would the President watch it? He has much more important things to do (and I'm completely serious when I say that). He has plenty of people that can watch it and give him a 3 minute summary of everything important that may have been said. Just like every televised congressional hearing, it's tons of 10 minute political statements followed by a question that the person testifiying never even gets a chance to answer.

Why would he watch it? He doesn't want to know, and his handlers already know exactly, what Gonzales has done, and what he'll say.
