SERO is Sprint Employee Referral Offer (www.sprint.com/sero). It's only available to new customers or existing customers adding another line, but a referral is needed. Inquiring minds want to know: how does Joe Average get a referral for SERO?If one can get a SERO plan, the only downside I see is that Spring doesn't offer the iPhone. Consequently, the rendering of html web pages and html e-mail is just, plain awful. Without an iPhone, I almost don't care if I have an unlimited data plan or a faster Internet connection.
In the UK this month, you get a free TomTom satnav kit with the Treo range, including the 680. Mine came this week and it includes the TomTom software on mini SD and on a CD, the car mount kit (well made), and the satnav device that sits on your dash. According to Palm that's worth £150, and it probably is. Great deal!
This article is pure BS, Anyone can get SERO and get rebates paid backAnd comparing the $80 Data plan speed with the crappy Edge network that AT&T uses isn't a fair comparisonHell even on the $29 a month Plan with Sprint I get unlimited Data on my Q and it's faster than the required minimum plan for the iPhone for $60... Bury this crap. For Sero it's damn simplewww.sprint.com/serouse e-mailsavings@sprintemi.com
As I said, they are two seperate products, for different needs, YMMV.I have heard this from a lot of iPhone people since the iPhone came out, and I cannot disagree more. At work, home, and school yeah you probably have free hotspots but I have never used my phone for access in any of those places because I always have a PC.The purpose of connectivity on my phone is to get work done when I am *not* at any of those places - especially in a moving vehicles like a cab, car, or train. Airport hotspots are always fee per use and I rarely ever run into the same provider enough to make a subscription worthwhile, plus I hate the captive portal logins. With 3G its much less of an issue, for one monthly fee, with no logins or seperate accounts.
