cinematical.com — Since Casino Royale comes out in just under two weeks, it's about time to start the debate: Which Bond was the best Bond? Before blindly handing the crown to Sean Connery, Pierce Brosnan was the most successful at the box office, and Roger Moore was pretty damn sexy. Oh, and what about George Lazenby? George who? Cast your vote now!

I'm going to give Craig a chance. I read Casino Royale this summer and I'm looking forward to the film version. I'm not so big on the idea of the ending changing though. I hope they change it for the better. With this film, we will learn why Bond is who he is, why he drinks a Vodka Martini, and treats women like he does.

Connery gets the top nod for his combination of class with a slight touch of arrogance and pure danger. There was a hint of unpredictability to the way he played the character, as if you could never tell quite what he was going to do next. He also was best at portraying Bond's way with the women. Pierce Brosnan is next for his ultra-urbane, ultra-cool, ultra-debonair portrayal. Timothy Dalton next for his ice-cold and somewhat brutal demeanor. Interestingly, the way he played the character is probably the closest to the way he was originally written by Fleming. Reports are that Daniel Craig is taking it in that direction, too, though. Roger Moore -- I never saw why people liked him so much. I just didn't particularly care for the way he portrayed Bond, so he's at the bottom of my list. Lazenby I can't comment on as I haven't seen "On Her Majesty's Secret Service".

Listen Connery's performance in Dr. No sealed the deal. Also George Lazenby, while not a great Bond, was in a really good Bond film.

Brosnan

I agree, Brosnan was a great bond. Pity he wasn't given the opportunity to continue. He has the looks, was suave, funny and ultra cool. He made everything he did look cool. That in my mind is the idea of a secret agent.

I'm surprised no ones posted this since the release of Casino Royale.I just watched the movie. I went back the next day with my brother to see it again. ;)I'm not going to act like I'm a Bond expert. I've seen Golden-eye, the beginning of Octopussy, The World Is not Enough, and Die Another Day. + Now Casino Royale. And sry Brosnan, you lost. PERIOD. PERIOD!!! I don't know about Conery, or Moore, or FFS any of the other guys your all talking about. But Casino Royale has to be the best movie I've seen in the last 3 months. Daniel Craig's performance as James Bond was hilarious, bad ass, sexy (I'm a man who enjoys women, and I'd have to say I'd go gay for the guy), and plainly brilliant. I'm mind-set that even if I watch all the old Bond movies while getting a blow-job, I'd still think Casino Royale was the best of the 21 Bonds. (21 right?)The Movie's opening theme music by Chris was excellent, I though the freaky little playing-card video was also cool. Both Caterina Murino (The hot Latina french chick) and Eva Green (I just had an orgasm by typing her name) were SEX!@$(FJ!(_TRI!Y. The movie was ACTION, SEX, ACTION, Comedy, card playing, SEX, ACTION. Not to mention that the casting was also PERFECT! Giancarlo Giannini as the witty Mathis was PERFECT! Mads Mikkelsen as Le Chiffre was PERFECT +++++!!! Isaach De Bankolé as That Bad ass Black Terrorist Leader AKA Steven Obanno, PEEEEEERRRRRFECT! Jesper Christensen as Mr. White. Whats the Spanish word for perfect? After the Black&White scene there is a chase scene between Craig and a a black guy named Sebastien Foucan AKA Mollaka....Word Beyond Perfect, Insert Here. (The stunts by Sebastien are EXCELLENT! WATCH THEM O>O) Malcolm Sinclair...Meh.Whoever hates this movie will in the next 2 years acquire cancer, and have all their loved-ones get hit by a bus. GO WATCH IT, NOOOOW!
