I've never understood the desire to use bumper stickers. No one gives a s**t who you think would be a good politician, or what jam band you think is groovy. Someone has to be pretty conceited to think that the decal on their car is going to change anyone's opinion on anything. Has a pro-choice person ever seen a bumper sticker that said "choose life" and thought "Hmm, maybe this guy in the El Camino has a point after all..." Do you think the person in the car behind you will see your Tool decal and switch from the Oldies station? Did you find a clever bumper sticker at Hot Topic that says something like "God must love stupid people, he made so many." Keep it to yourself, we all know it wasn't your idea. It's like copying and pasting text from someone else's witty comment on Digg. Get over yourselves.
elnerdo... for someone who claims to fight against strawmen you sure do use them a lot. You keep implying i'm ignorant or don't know anything about politics before we've even got into anything.Second of my observation was "I've never gotten into a good discussion with a liberal... they mostly just wear their opinions on their sleaves." That is to say... I've never been able to get a liberal into a good issue focused discussion. Usually they just make it clear what they believe but don't want to talk about why. This is a fair observation to make as I'm observing the people who I have personally tried to talk issues with. YOUR observation is including ALL self described conservatives. I consider this a subtle strawman. The political scale doesn't change... its been used to measure politicians through history for thousands of years. You add all your view points and ideals together and depending on that balance you are placed on the scale. You theoretically could be in the middle exactly... but I highly doubt you are.Example... one thing that is used to measure where you are on the scale is how involved you think government should be and where you think they should be involved. Liberal views tend to be more government with higher taxes and more social programs (kinda like parents who think they should give their kids allowance so they can worry about their school work so they can get ahead for later in life) while conservative tend to be less government and allow for people to grow financially themselves (kinda like parents who think their kids should work in high school so they can learn to stand on their own). It of course gets more and more detailed and complex. One thing is for sure you don't measure liberalism or conservatism by what the democrats and republicans view at a point in time. You measure how conservative or liberal Republicans and Democrats are using the political scale.

Yes you have a right to be ignorant until it comes to the point of violating someone elses rights.
