thestar.com— Think we're talking about World Cup play? Not even close. These histrionics took place at an "under-8" match for boys in Pickering on the weekend. The referee? A 14-year-old girl.

Often times the parents care more than the kids themselves. The kids are content to be simply on the field or on the team, while for parents it's a matter of pride, so they obviously would care more. "Ha! My kid's team and yours didn't!" But sometimes, they just need to chill out. The fun is worth as much as the winning, especially when it's just a kids' league. The kid of the parents must be embarrassed. I certainly would be.
