abcnews.go.com — At a public park a topless woman asked a man to expose himself. The park appeared empty to him, but police were actually videotaping from an unmarked car nearby. They released the names, photos and addresses of everyone who had been arrested to a local newspaper before the trial. Men were told to plead guilty to avoid a harsher punishment...

Hate to say it, but that's a good thing. You don't want cops picking and choosing which laws they want to enforce. In theory at least, the public creates the law and police enforce the will of the people. This should keep them from being judge, jury, and every other part of the process up to president. Of course the reality somewhat nullifies the point, given that there's so many laws now that 99% of us have probably broken at least one law today without knowing it.

I don't see how this isn't entrapment. At least in the article it seemed the guy had no intention of exposing himself to anyone until a topless cop goaded him to do it. Maybe I don't know all the legal stuff behind entrapment, but if it isn't, it should be. Furthermore, he made his decision based largely on the fact that no one was around as well, so its a completely victimless crime, the kind we don't need waste time and money on sting operations to stop

if you looked at what I originally replied to before commenting, you'll see the url was:http://www.msxnet.org/humour/murdersI found it funny that there was a murder section in their "humour" section. Hopefully you get it now.

Let me get this straight...We should wait until a guy arranges to have sex with an actual 12-year old, then bust in only AFTER he has his penis inside her? Do you honestly believe these guys when they say it's the first time they've ever done anything like that? You're f**king gullible if you honestly believe that. The people working with Dateline aren't approaching anybody. They create a screen name and wait for guys to approach them.

They also do NOT incorporate REAL 12 YEAR OLD BEHAVIOR.Your average 12 year old girl is not going to be OK with talking to someone she's never met online about sex, unless she's looking to be promiscuous. It is a well known fact that teenage and pre-teenage girls who end up having sex with older men they met on the internet were engaging in promiscuous behavior BEFORE they met anyone online. In my opinion, if they're going to throw men in jail for 20 years for intending to have sex with a 15 year old, then they should be punishing the 15 year old for intending to have sex with a man over 18. And I'm not even going to get into the whole thing with female teachers having sex with their male students (who are also under 18). The word "predator" is too loosely used. A predator is someone who shows up with the intent to rape someone, by force if need be. Sexual predators hunt people down, kidnap them, and then force them to engage in sexual acts. The guys they bust on dateline couldn't hurt a fly if they tried. Really, the average To Catch A Predator victim is a slightly more sociable, slightly stupider version of a digger (sorry diggers, its the truth...you know there's a disproportionately large number of you who are still virgins).
