For some people to live life happily, others must suffer.That's the way of life man. It happens with ever other animal on this planet. I do, however, wish we could evolve as a group without the suffering of a subgroup. That's not nature though.
And using that same logic you could easily justify slavery. I suppose you'd also refuse to help an elderly person with a door or give up a seat for them. I think humans have something that separates us from the animals in those respects. Oh yeah it's called ethics, and morality. And how much do you think your life would really suffer to provide clean water to the impoverished people of the world?
