Yes, it actually is that simple. I can tell that YOU aren't familiar with copy protection. PDF has been easily crack-able for a long time. And even if it were "CPU intensive," it only has to be cracked once. That's why it's called "cracking." Once you beat the copy protection, it's beaten, and the "cracked" version is distributed. That's why copy protection doesn't work, among other reasons. And anyone who thinks that a text article could somehow be copy protected is someone who does not understand computers. Have you ever pressed the ALT+PrintScreen button on your computer? You should try it sometime. Good luck protecting a text article against screen captures.
PDF is an open format that can be ready by many programs that don't even talk to Adobe. Use a PDF reader on *nix based systems, and you will get an option to enforce protection (or not). PDF is a publishing format, not a protection format. Also, as LesPaul said, its easy to crack, even without the above information.People that claim that DRM works have no idea about how technology works. DRM makes it harder, but it also makes it harder for legitimate customers too. And once DRM is cracked, the illegal copies are actually better then the illegal ones.

here it is again, people's freedom when they are the sports people themselves, restricted in how they live in the real world.<a class="user" href="http://blog.ziggytek.com/2009/09/01/twittering-social-media-banned-during-nfl-games-and-at-the-us-open/" rel="nofollow">http://blog.ziggytek.com/2009/09/01/twittering-soc ...</a>
