slate.com — In the sports war on drugs, steroids is heroin and HGH is marijuana. Unlike steroids, growth hormone hasn't been shown to increase weight-lifting ability; in the lab, it has a greater effect on muscle definition than muscle strength. And it doesn't seem to help much with cardiovascular fitness, either. So, why do so many athletes take HGH?

HGH usage has also been associated with enlarged heart deaths. :-(

NO2 is garbage. Money would be better spent on proper food, protein, vitamins, and if you wish to go pro, the gear. Otherwise, none of that crap will make you into a monster overnight. Creatine is one of the few things I've known to make one look a bit fuller and harder, but nothing beats a proper regimen. Shortcuts make you short yourself.

The ignorance level of articles dealing with steroids, and compounds, seems to be at an all time high.First, anabolic/androgenic steroids are perfectly safe, if used in moderation. Most bodybuilders use much higher doses. The side effects are the effects you can expect a male to get with increased estrogen, DHT, and progesterone levels... Male pattern boldness, acne, aggression, unwanted hair growth, and so on.HGH is also safe, if used properly. Which is never the case in bodybuilding. By itself, it does not do much of anything great, unless you are dying from AIDS, but in combination with IGF like peptides, insulin, and steroids it can work very well for building muscle. If used alone, HGH will just burn a little fat. For that, bodybuilders use something much much more worse, a compound that you will die from, that is carcinogenic, tetragenic, and mutagenic : DNP.These days, as opposed to the days of Arnold, most bodybuilders are nothing more than walking pharmacies, that are bloated, fat, and acne-prone. Even the guys in magazines look NOTHING like what they do in pictures, most of the year... Drugs are taken to lose the bloat and achieve hardness. Just add 50 pounds of water, and you get the picture. The focus on what really matters in muscle building is left out, DIET. And a quick fix is turned to.

His arms are not the result of steroid or hgh use, but rather injection of oil into the muscle causing it to inflate. kinda like plastic surgery without the plastic.

Greg Valentino...don't listen to that steroid making his arms blow out crap. He was injecting synthol as well as using gear. Synthol is an oil that fills up the spaces within the muscle tissue and is eventually absorbed by the body. He most probably went too far and developed an abscess or something. Many pros use it to balance out their weak parts. It's frowned upon, but steroids are frowned upon too, right? As much as I hate to use Wackapedia, here goes:Greg Valentino:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greg_ValentinoSynthol: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Site_Enhancement_Oil

Just my two cents, I think that there is a difference between the two. Most people on HGH used to be older people looking for the Fountain of Youth, whereas Steroids is mostly targeted and used by people that wanna get huge and ripped. In the end both are just products that assist you in attaining some type of enhancement to your physical appearance, BUT hgh is suppose to a lot safer. http://learnhgh.com is a site that used to updated the stuff on it but it seems like they've been dormant for awhile.

Most people are completely uninformed on Human Growth Hormone. And that includes the people taking it. If you are considering being a user... be sure to get educated first. A good place to start would be at http://www.steroidsexpert.com
