Seperate accounts and one joint account. Each pays an equal percentage of mutual living expences (One person will always be paying a higher dollar amount but the point is to not place a higher value on one persons labor) to be deposited into the joint account.
I don't mean for divorce. I mean when they know how much you have then you get hassle about a new car, new sofa, bigger house, more useless crap that you don't need. In the case of divorce I'd just pull a Hans Reiser, albeit a bit more compently.
