miamiherald.com — To most of London, the Dolphins-Giants game on Sunday, while a sellout at Wembley Stadium, is an obscure oddity. ''The one with the funny-shaped ball? It's not proper football is it,'' says the gentleman guiding our small taxi. You mention Sunday's big football game around here and Londoners assume you mean Arsenal vs. Liverpool.

Of course your speaking of American Footballers acting tough while wearing a ton of padding and whining because the other team beat them too bad? Or perhaps the NBA? Hell they fall over more than footballers even in Italy and that's saying something.

I think one of the biggest differences between Rugby and Football is strategy. Like most International Sports, Rugby is a lot like Soccer in that you are fiercely trying to get the ball to different areas of the field. Football on the other hand is a lot more strategy. The coaches are modern day "tacticians" trying to form a unit to get past the "enemy". Trick plays are a huge part of American Football, unlike any other sport in the world, which delves further into strategy. To call one sport soft, or one mindless is both a little far fetched.
