The quote is variously attributed to Samuel Johnson, Oscar Wilde, Mark Twain, Abraham Lincoln, and Woodrow Wilson; and http://ask.yahoo.com/ask/20010115.html also lists Groucho Marx, George Eliot, Albert Einstein and the Bible.(It sounds like Oscar Wilde)

Ron Paul was born in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania in 1935.. and moved to Texas with his wife in 1968. Being a Southerner myself though, I wish Ron Paul were a Texan.. I'll still vote for him though.. ;)

This guy is a total maroon. "Political power" is not a take-it-or-leave-it type of thing. It is a fact of life. It is intrinsic in every group of human beings. This guy is too stupid, or unmotivated to understand, how and why a certain person or group can make other people do things except under threat of physical violence. The operation of politics was not created by the powerful - but they understand it, and exploit it to serve themselves and their interests. In a well balanced system, the self interests of the powerful, and the good of all people sync up. In a poorly balanced system, they don't. Less government does not imply justice and freedom! More laws or fewer laws, injustice can still take place, and go uncorrected. It is a balance of everyone's self interests that keeps things chugging along in the right direction.
