blogs.msdn.com— Ever wondered what happens when you click on "Send Error Report" whenever a software crashes on your computer? Here is an insight into what people at Microsoft do when someone submits one such report.

"Oh, there goes Microsoft blaming other people for its buggy software again."Because when 3rd party software crashes, we're all supposed to blame Microsoft because it's the "cool thing to do"?
It doesn't have to be just over-clocking BTW. I had a crappy Cyrix CPU that was rated for 266mhz. I had to UNDER-clock it to 200mhz to get it to function properly. Otherwise, random Windows crashes all the time.Does Cyrix even make CPUs anymore? Hmm.... Google says "No!" Might be a reason behind that...
"Because the Microsoft one doesn't allow you to follow-up on your submission and provides no way for them to contact you."If they gathered a way to contact you, everyone would be up in arms over the fact that they're collecting "personal information" about you. Even if it were an option.

"Since the crash reports are sent anonymously, we have no way of contacting the submitter to ask them follow-up questions."...mmhmm. Riiight.

I don't click that because it doesn't pop up. Turn off error reporting and you won't have to wait 10 minutes for your app to finish crashing.
