terminally-incoherent.com — I often tend to judge people based on the type of browser they use. Believe it or not, the choice of your favorite browser reveals allot about your personality. This post analyzes the personalities of the users of most popular browsers including IE, Firefox, Opera, Netscape and etc...

Actually, I have a friend who thinks the exact opposite, and he is an avid Opera user. Unfortunately, the reality is that Opera doesn't even have a chance compared to Firefox (even though it is now free) when it comes to getting marketshare for browser usage. So you'd be wise either way to hope Firefox causes less IE6-only pages, because it's your only hope.

>>1. Auto-scroll that doesn't flicker.>https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/357/With autoscroll you click a button and the entire page scrolls on its own at a readable pace. None of the available firefox extensions including the one you so gleefully point out do this without flickering or jumping. Try clicking the scroll wheel on your mouse to see the problem (assuming you don't have it remapped)>>2. Tabbed browsing that works the way I want it to.>https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1122/Tried that. Still doesn't let me configure several of the settings I want to use and the configuration options you can set have no visible effect.>>FOR THE LOVE OF GOD LET ME CONFIGURE SHIFT-CLICK ACTIONS>SEE ABOVE EXTENSION! ALSO NO CAPS LOCK PLEASE!I didn't use CapsLock, I Held the shift key down. Try to make shift-click open a new unfocused tab... You can't. In firefox no matter what configuration changes you set in tab-mix you can not set shift click to open in an unfocused tab. In the Opera forums the mods just say you can't configure shift-click functions.>>Also, I like my address bar BELOW the navigate buttons>This is built in, right click in the bar and drag stuff to where you want it.Yeah... drag items individually... I have to drag every item from one bar to another instead of being able to actually move the entire bar. On a new install of IE it takes me ~30 seconds to rearrange the menu bars. Firefox takes ~3 minutes. Opera takes ~7 minutes (mainly because if you drop an item onto the wrong bar it screws up the entire layout)Now go wear your own cap for making uninformed statements.

I think judging someones personality by the browser they use actually says more about YOUR (the person doing the judging) personality! lol

1. It scrolls very smoothly at my end. Maybe you need to update your graphics driver, DirectX and/or your Firefox.2. Woe is you. Sorry for not being a mindreader. Well, think of it this way - IE6 doesn't have tabs at all so you should be happy :P3. Again, I'm not a mindreader. I wouldn't know why you'd need to create a new unfocused tab but as I said, there's an extension for every need. As opposed to IE.https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/158/4. It takes 3 minutes to drag 8 elements around? You really shouldn't be around computers. You're not using Firefox because you have to customize something for less than a minute...that's not the best of arguments.

Just a Mac fanboy....I didn't agree with the authors comments, as he actually just ragged on everyone except those using Safari....hmmm

And before you all get me... it's NCSA Mosiac - from the National Center for Supercomputing Applications. Noticed that right as the edit timed out.

I can't speak for other browsers, but the description for Opera was spot on.
