regretfulmorning.com — Have you ever seen a receipt laying on a bar top, and thought toyourself "I bet I know what kind of person this belongs to"? Is it possibleto formulate a conclusion based solely on what someone ordered? We'd liketo think so.

And then eventually you just have a drink or two because you like certain types of drinks, but have no interest in getting drunk, and it gets even cheaper.

Alison Shires is going to kill herself!!Couldn't resist. Dugg for awesome book reference. Dare I say I enjoyed the bridge trilogy more than the sprawl trilogy?

What about a beer enthusiast? Do those not exist? You know, the person who just drink micro brews and stuff and no hard liquor because they like to try new things and experiencing new beer is fun?

My bar tab says good thing my boyfriend is paying for all those chocolate cake shots. But I pay him back by picking up girls, so I think it evens out ;-)

Hi, I'm a girl that can say, "I can out-drink Dad". Dad get's hammered after two beers. I however, get tipsy (never get hammered) after 12 oz of straight liquor of 70-80 proof (35% - 40% alcohol by volume). A cosmo has about 2-3.5 oz of Vodka+another alcohol in it, to a total of 20% abv. Multiply that by 5, she consumed 10-17.5 oz of alcohol, probably enough to get her drunk unless she has a high tolerance. 1.5 oz of 80 proof (40% abv) liquor = 12 oz beer, which has 8 shots of 5% abv each, equaling to 40% alcohol or 80 proof. So the girl drank an equivalent of a shot of 200 proof, or 100% abv. How do I compare? I drank 12 oz (8 shots) of straight alcohol at 80 proof (40%) so I can drink an equivalent of 480 proof, or 240% abv. So yes, a girl CAN hold her liquor. Know your alcohol chemistry and measurement people! The more you know, the better you understand your limits and the smarter choices you make about drinking!
