Wow. Please explain why AT&T has smartphones like Blackberry, Windows Mobile, Symbian and Palm running 3rd Party apps?I'd argue that AT&T would prefer to have access to the phone's software but Apple wants to implement yet another closed device.Only in Mac fantasy land are Apple' bricking phones and voiding warranties for installing 3rd party apps -possibly- AT&T's fault.Your in denial pal.
I will tell you what doesnt work MY DAMN PHONE!!!!!!! No 3rd party apps. or Sim unlock, the phone just quit working after updating yesterday now it is stuck in recovery mode.

The same thing happened to me, no mods.sts1169: what i read was reboot your computer and try again. now, what happened to me was my computer wouldnt boot, but, i did install itunes on another computer and was able to reainstall the iphone os, though all my data was lost.
