tech.fortune.cnn.com— Some tech pundits think Facebook is in trouble, but the data tells a different story: growth hasn't slowed a bit.

You, my friend. are woefully naive. Personal data is big $$$. If you think that the credit card companies, or other "stewards" of your data don't sell/trade it, I suggest you open the shades, and see the light coming in the window.
Most Facebook users don't know they need to be worried about it ... we are dealing with a totally different paradigm and most people do not understand that the world is watching. When you have a privacy policy that is longer then the Constitution you have a problem. Most people think only the people who are their friends see what they post, not at all aware of how much may be be visible to friends of friends. I'd be willing to bet that if you asked these people - they would say they are concerned. Just because they join Facebook does not damn them. Most people join it because their friends and family are there and don't understand how the internet works much less the rats nest that is Facebook's privacy setting requirements.
wrong on so many levels...white pages doesn't tell me when you are on vacation so i know when i can rob your house, wp doesn't tell me you are a 14 yo girl thats home alone everyday after school till mommy gets home from work, i can't send a mass link across wp for people to click on for a drive-by-hack so i can gain full ownership of your pc... where i can install a keylogger and grab all your banking info, the list goes on. become informed. btw, wp collects info YOU make public to third party db's, e.g. if you choose to become listed when you rcv phone service, oh, and they also pull data from FB, which doesn't care if you want it listed or not.
you are wrong (misinformed) in the fact that everyones info is on wp. its far from it. and you choose if your info is on there by making it public elsewhere. FB is making that decision for you.and the other part was listed for real reasons (or levels) why you should be more afraid of FB's privacy snafu's. a wp entry alone is a lot less harmful than fb info. strangers with malicious intent aren't looking at what movies you watched (unless they want to know what time you wont be home), and finding your address is probably the easiest piece of the puzzle for somebody that has an interest in knowing it. when you become lax in your diligence of protecting your privacy you become vulnerable to people that are very well versed in exploiting it.

What exactly did I say that was wrong? And on what levels? Your post confuses me.
