wouldn't it be weird if microsoft came out with a flagship laptop in an apple-esque fashion to debut at the store? a machine perfectly designed to run windows? i wonder if that machine is physically possible?*not a microsoft hater or fanboy of any os*
Good point.. you are right on about Microsoft being a software company.. when I build a custom desktop computer I put Windows on it and it usually works well.. for a laptop I prefer Apple because I know the hardware and software are going to function well together. The Xbox, by the way, would be that one piece of hardware for Microsoft
Windows isn't that bad anymore.. I am an avid Linux user and use Ubuntu all the time for my web server but I can still appreciate that Windows has improved a lot.. sure I hate configuring things in it but for running software like Adobe Photoshop and other tasks that can't be done on a Linux machine its pretty hard to beat
In a Microsoft store... "free" bloatware on the shelves and representatives from many companies annoy you about this and that like pop-ups, and the people who work there are just like the Vista UAC; "Are you sure you want to remove that Zune from the shelf?" and stickers, stickers are on everything...
@Herolint. Maybe because they were sitting on their shelf? The eyeTV is a pretty well selling product, in all stores. In fact, I bet plenty of people on digg would know the difference between an EyeTV hybrid and EyeTV diversity, but the best I got from them was that one was "good" and the other was "better". Also, like I said, I actually knew the exact differences, except clearly, unlike the resellers, it seems a lot of Apple salespeople simply do basic sales training, and that's enough for apple.
