Probably the best written article about the iPad I've read. It's definitely not about what it's "missing" but what Apple intends this thing to be. I still don't see the use for me personally (I'm interested in what I can do (make) with the device), but maybe I'm just not the target audience (people interested in what they can do (watch) with the device).
