That's not a red wine glass (the Pinot Noir glass is correct however)--it's a white wine glass...and speaking of which, no mention of white wine glasses? Also, if you serve a good abbey-style beer (read: Corsendonk, Westmalle Trappist 8 or 10, Duvel...NOT STELLA ARTOIS) in a pint glass or stein, you're going to get laughed out of the room. This is assuming you're not drinking with morons.http://www.trappistwestmalle.be/images/tripel.jpgGood article for a true beginner, at least.
I agree completely. Most American don't even know that beer can be consumed out of anything different than a bottle or this simple pint glass. Whenever I order wheat beer (weissbier) and I get it in a pint glass, I let it go back. It doesn't taste the same. And yes the article is lacking a few glasses, there are more than a dozen different styles of beer glasses where Germans commonly serve their beer in.
I'm one of those pretentious alcoholics. Fine Scotch can ONLY be served in a heavy, cut crystal tumbler (Baccarat - Harmonie pattern preferred). It just feels better to hold a nice heavy tumbler in your hand. It's also reminiscent of the days when people drank with style and grace (The old "Thin Man" movies had drinking perfected to an art). Besides, if I'm paying this much for 18 year old single malt Scotch, then I'm certainly not going to drink it from a damn jelly jar!;-)
Red Solo Cups. There. You're done. I just saved you 3-5 minutes.Go read an actually interesting article and not a pretentious fluff piece of bulls**t.College FTW
"Personally, I am not a big beer fan but that is definitely one thing we cannot miss when we are talking about serving drinks. I mean beer is one of the most popular drinks that is available anywhere no matter what."I lost all respect for this pretentious f**kwit at that point.
