Please Please Please Let Mass effect 3 be done before The Old Republic fails miserably and puts Bioware out of business (don't get me wrong, Id love for it to be successful, but be realistic, nothing will beat wow)
It would have been much more emotionally engaging if the risks weren't all at the end of the game, and avoidable. The Kaiden/Ashley decision in the first game had me thinking a bit before choosing. You could not complete Mass Effect with every character remaining, adding a lot of replayability. There was nothing like that in ME2 sadly. Since every character could be alive in the end, it lost a lot of the tension in key. Here's to hoping they make more risky, consequential decisions in ME3.
I'm pretty sure your ME 1 choices will make a difference. The surviving human character, Ashley or Alanko will likely make a reappearance and unless it is a side quest the rachni don't show up in ME2 (if you let the rachni queen live in the first one you get a communique from her in ME2). .
** SPOILER ALERT **The suicide mission required correct decisions. The first time I played it I lost Legion and Samara because I made poor choices. The Suicide Mission had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. Also, I'm pretty sure the last decision you make (to blow up/capture the collector base) will reflect heavily in Mass Effect 3.
