If the only reason it's funny is so some pretentious d**kh**ds can act superior to everyone who has happened to not read a book, meaning it's only funny for some sort of reference, that doesn't make it funny. It's completely unfunny. I read plenty. Because I choose books that are non-fiction and for the few fiction books I read, I don't enjoy reading about bleak futures, that's enough to make the whole thing unfunny? Then the only way it could be funny to anyone is a reference. That's like if I made something that just referenced like.. Dethklok or something. Like it was just an html page I made with some funny line on it. Then the people who got the reference would all pop like 14 boners and digg it because they all feel special. "OH! I get that reference! I'm part of something! CLICK"This whole thing reeks of pretentiousness.

So, if you have no clue about it, don't comment at all.1984 is a classic. 10 books a year and you haven't read 1984, what do you read? Stephan King?
