Are you suggesting security through obscurity is secure? It's easy to find out the information that you are looking for. I'm not disagreeing with you about the security in place, I'm just questioning how you reached that conclusion.

I don't see qmail in there... In addition to that on most universities eahc department hastheir own mail servers..
