lxer.com — CNN wrote an article Is Slashdot the future of media? The subtitle says: The most popular site for the tech cognoscenti is created entirely by its users and readers. I beg your pardon, that's Digg not Commander Taco. Slashdot and me: we're so over.

Whats wrong with digg?Users who base their tech news site selection on what a website looks like over its actual content.

Same here, often you learn more from the comments then from the articles. Plus, I really like some of the lame old /. jokes.... in soviet Russia...

worst blog entry I have attempted to read in a while. I love digg, but in all fairness articles like this wouldn't have even been considered for the front page on slashdot. I stopped reading at:"News for Nerds is created by its users and readers? You mean the posts are screened by people who have abandoned their roots and allowed the filthiest language on the planet. Others have created cute little jargon like puh-lease."because I was so confused.

"Why would you expect negative diggs? We Diggers love ripping on Slashdot!"MOD PARENT UP!

Yeah, sometimes it happens here. But I find at least with Digg, 80 to 90% of the comments are interesting and useful, whereas with Slashdot, about 40% are worthwhile, and the rest are intellectual pissing contests and people saying the old "In Soviet Russia..." jokes.
