nzherald.co.nz — Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak denied some of the comments attributed to him in an article I wrote recently. He suggests that I pushed him to make some of those comments...I find Mr Wozniak's response shocking as it is a serious attack, not only on my credibility, but also on that of the press in general

Did people actually read the transcript? The interviewer actually clarifies (good on him) whether Woz meant that the iPod division should be spun out as a separate company, and Woz said he wouldn't go so far to say it needs to be spun out as a separate company. In the context of the question, he mentions that HP had "spun out" certain divisions by giving them more autonomy. This is how the Mac was born, it was done by a separate group of people who was very independent of the whole Apple company and that was what made it successful. I don't have any leanings whether it is right for iPod/iTunes to be spun out -- i think the current status quo is good and gives Apple the amount of flexibility it needs to combat the threat of MS and Sony.

It's a good thing this article came out. i can block all the idiots that didn't read the transcript. The audio/transcript confirms Wozniak's claim. The questions practically were very leading and the answers Wozniak were misconstrued.God. I hope you digg ppl never get to vote.

Peter Nowak is an idiot and pussy for posting an mp3 of his audio interview. This disclosure will completely help kill all interview possiblities with interesting people.man, Nowak should get nailed by his industry peers. No one will ever take an interview with him after this.

Bouche: You're either a sycophant or a troll... or Woz himself.

I'm a troll mage in WoW in the land of Detheroc. After listening to this, I still can't get over the fact that the 'reporter' had to put this audio on the internet in defence of his own story. It's just pure lame. Woz's comments were clearly streaming from his head and this guy took advantage of them. Then he posted the audio as proof of what Woz's thoughts. Guys like Woz have a million thoughts pouring out at one time. He's an innovator, an inventor, maybe a genious.I just don't think what he had to say to the reporter should have even been published as fact. It's just thoughts. So posting the audio and crying about the backlash of his own article is just super lame.
