Don't know if it was real or not, but on Adam Corrola (sic) the other day, a woman called in trying to argue why Heath Ledger's funeral should be protested. Corrola's crew, in turn, pointed out that should Ralph Fiennes' funeral, whenever he dies, should be protested at because he played a Nazi? What about Forest Whitaker after The Last King of Scotland. Anthony Hopkins for Hannibal Lecter. Absolutely freaking ridiculous.
In a sense you could say Scientology is much worse, because of its insidious nature. It tries to hide its ugliness, whereas Westboro puts it all out there for the world to see. A good man might get slowly and unknowlingly mind-warped into something he never was by the Scientologists, however, he would know never to walk in the front door of the Westboro "church," ever.
"There should be no room for misinterpretation of context."That's the problem. You seem to be taking the worse view because it suits YOUR argument. As stated above, "Thou shalt not kill" is not a commandment. The CORRECT translation is "Thou shalt not MURDER."
they're not content to just bash gays, they also have a thing against people they call "fag enablers", essentially anyone who is tolerant of homosexuals.
yea yea, gentle jesus makes up for all the horror and genocide of the old testament. at least before jesus there was escape in death. once you were killed and the earth closed over you, it was over. not until everyone's mate jesus do we see the idea of torturing the dead for all eternity. some improvement.
"fear of god". i find it disturbing that god demands that humanity simultaneously love and fear him. thats exactly the kind of devotion Kim Jong Ill demands in north korea.
