Don Cherry was a trumpet god, and is one of my favorite jazz artists.I always wanted a pocket trumpet, but the really good ones are actually much more expensive that regular ones.

They're surprisingly good for their form factor, but they definitely *don't* play like regular trumpets. They don't have nearly the projection or the tone center of a regularly-wrapped horn.They're great for keeping in shape while you're on the road, and provoking awkward hotel-room visits from hotel managers though...
