sugarattack.com — Everyone has an opinion on Web 3.0 lately. Personally, I think they are all wrong. And while I won?t profess to carry the official definition of Web 3.0 (personally, i think the definitions are stupid and misguided) I?ll tell you what I think the future of the web holds.

If you can predict web 3.0, guess what? It is not Web 3.0.Of course a lot of stuff will be done on mobile phone: maps, music store etc, but they all will be an extension of Web 2.0. Just like the author said in the article, interactivity... community... social network, they are all part of 2.0 (2.xxx).Saying Mahalo is web 1.1, all I can say is wow... and I see that the author miss the whole concept of web 2.0.... maybe he should say 1.9 but not 1.1... but anyway... Mahalo is another aspect of web 2.0. A Web 2.0 don't have to be like all web 2.0. As long the community is being involved in what being consumed or not, it's 2.0.Web 2.0 gives the power to the user, which make the editors lazier, since we (the users) got to do all the "hard" work. Look at Digg!To make a long comment short, Web 3.0 in unknown to us. Predicting is contradicting ourselves by finding other components of web 2.xx. You being right on Mobile revolution, is just an extension of how web 2.0 is going to integrate in all of our lives. Web 2.0 didn't start with ajax, since everyone wants to associate it with it, but with the web 2.0 started when everyone start having access to the net, and this is when the evolution started. Ajax just make it better, but think about the forums, ebay, other social activities we used to do.... Yeah... Web 3.0, not here yet, and not anytime soon. Once we reach the limit of web 2.0 this is when we'll start making 3.0. It's the evolution. Thank you very much, and good night!
