yes, spending overseas is the worst part.i'm not sure if this is a good idea--but it seems the FED is trying all kinds of other radical ideas to get inflation under control, and they are all failing--so why not give it a try?How about emplace tariffs on all imported goods. It would make it more economical to use American labor and production. Less money given to other countries, with the added bonus of increasing sales of American-made products to other countries = higher GDP

This is a huge step for man kind, and a needed one. spreading to new planets is an obvious step, even if the moon is not a permanent answer, it is a small step. I don't care which country does it first, as long as it happens. ( but i would like to see it happen in America )

Don't you think a private organisation would be able to do this development though, - the fact that its government just makes it a waste of tax payers money.Oh- and guess what.. - We get the same technology as usa, and we dont have a space agency.. wooo
