236.com — Sarah's 4 month old son, Trig, is actually her grandson. Trig's real mom, suggests the internet underbelly, is Sarah's teenage daughter, Bristol. Bristol was taken out of school for 4 or 5 months because she got "mono," ... Would a 44-year-old woman with four kids out of diapers, embarking on her first governorship, really get pregnant?

Man, this is weak. No matter what the truth is, people peddling this s**t should be ashamed of themselves. Either way, it was a difficult and brave decision to keep a Down's syndrome child, especially with so many other kids. Imagine if she'd always been pro-life, and then chose to get rid of it? We'd all be screaming blue bloody murder about hypocrisy./I still think she'd make a s**t VP though. f**king backwards with her creationism and oil-baron sucky-sucky, but that is politics, not personal.

"Do you have any idea how much a hospital birth is" Sure do, and it's not as wicked expensive as you make it out to be. Really. Unless we're talking a pimped-out private maternity suite with the works, private nurses, and an extended stay."Especially a premature birth with complications?" Complications? Well now. I was under the impression everything went rather smoothly, what with her getting on a 7-8 hour flight back to Alaska *after* her water broke. At least according to the story they're feeding us. "That is not pay-for-it yourself kind of thing." Again, it can be, and is for a lot of people. Perhaps even a state governor. I mean geez, heaven forbid people are actually prepared to bear children and foot the bill! And people have been lying on birth certificates for years. Nothing new here. "Fraud aside, do you really think that the entire chain of people with access to those records -- hospital administrators, nurses and doctors and more -- would all agree to the cover-up on the publicly-available birth certificate alone? The entire hospital could lose their certification for chrissake." You know what else could make an entire hospital lose their certification? Discussing patients' confidential medical records without explicit written authorization from said patient(s).This is all speculation anyhow. We have no proof this or any part of it was filed with an insurance company. And if I'm not mistaken insurance companies are not at liberty to discuss any of it either (hello HIPAA). I'm just bringing to light that it is entirely *possible* for all of this to happen without getting ANY insurance companies involved. See? No fraud.

melkat, sorry to burst your bubble:http://www.adn.com/monegan/story/513137.htmlThey've hired a private attorney to delay the investigation. Honestly at this point she'd be better off stepping down gracefully to let McCain make a better choice. That's not what will happen of course. Instead they'll keep trying to bury this, stirring up more news cycles, and making themselves look worse in the process.

This is complete BS, I live in Wasilla, I am good friends with Bristol's cousin, i saw her during this time and that would have to be a small ass baby for her to look like a damn gymnast in the last months of her pregnancy.

For the "Urinalpooper" (classy username) the word for the baby's diagnosis is DOWN SYNDROME", not mongoloid. That word was used over 35 years ago because the babies with Down Syndrome have almond shaped eyes. As the mother of a child with D.S. (I was 23 when she was conceived), that is the best gift the Palins will ever get. That little boy will be the sweetest, most loving person they will ever know-with no political agenda. He will bring them pure joy! The fact that there is speculation that there was a pregnancy coverup, etc. ...doesn't that send a few people red lights whether it is true or not? How many candidates have we seen who have a Jerry Springer in the making, baby daddy drama, baby mama, teen pregnancy....maybe this is a "real family" as my Republican friends tell me but do we want that to be our model? And from the family values party!!! What are the values? This is pathetic.

This Palin/Trig/Bristol baby controversy demands to be addressed. I don't see how anyone can deny there is a significant amount of evidence suggesting Gov.Palin may have been covering up her daughter's pregnancy - this is not just innuendo. So far the mainstream media seems terrified to even address this issue. What we need is some professional journalism here....a point by point analysis with legitimate, empirical evidence. Hello? Some reporter out there willing to do their goddamn job?And by the way- an issue such as this is no longer just a personal, private matter when, on such a monumental level, it flies in the face of a political candidates own stated personal beliefs and political platform. And to those republican sympathizers who want to attack me - you remember one thing- if one of Obama's daughters was 17 and pregnant, this election would be O-V-E-R.
