chris-hooley.com — I used to think identity theft was just an over-hyped gimmick to get people to pay for credit reports and monitoring. That is, until my checking account was cleared out. Turns out, most major banks are not well equipped to handle ID theft, or even your money for that matter.

Some banks, as long as you can recite your SSN they will hand over cash. That is just scary.

Same here. 15 years. And they've caught scams and thefts a couple times for me. I won't be leaving them anytime soon.

BoA = Bunch of A** Holes.. I've banked with the company that actually bought them (NationsBank) and I had lot of money disappear out of my account and NO answers why....Lets not go over friends, family and co-worker experiences that are about the same..

Are you sure it is a good idea not to report the earnings to the IRS? Isn't it better to report the earnings so that it looks like you really earned the money so that the IRS won't investigate your income? Maybe opening up a coin laundry might help if you plan to do that more often :-)

You are talking nonsense... the bank already has (or should have) all of your account's activities.Adding a better authentication doesn't change that fact.
