x-entertainment.com — "From the '85 JCPenney/Sears holiday catalogs, below are six items I had, and six items I always wanted. This'll give you a good idea of what the Wish Books were all about, and will help me finally pay tribute to a series of books that rate just between the Bible and Choose Your Own Adventure: Gorga the Space Monster in terms of personal worth."

I still have my Voltron, tucked away in my air-conditioned storage unit. Now that I think about it, I really should go check on it, it's been a while since I held and caressed its sleek, shiny surface...

Haha, reminds me of the scene in "Big" when he breaks the robot's arm off and everyone is trying so hard not to piss themselves laughing.

Actually, I'd say when you factor in inflation, it's closer to the PS3, the Wii and the 360 all in one.$935.80 in today's dollars...which would get you a PS3 ($399), a Wii ($249) and an 360 ($279) with almost $9 to spare...

do you guys remember that ERECTOR SET toy? in the commercials they'd press a button on a yellow box and a car would change into a helicopter like magic. i used to really think it would happen at the press of a button. instead you had to build each one. i remember my mom got it for me and i was upset it didn't change upon button presses and she said we could return it if i wanted.

I'm having flashbacks! My family used to fight over those catalogs! Without this thread I would have forgotten that whole aspect of my life. Weird. I actually remember those two 80's catalogs. Weird. Thank you for the holiday time flashbacks!

I remember the smell of those things! I can't think of how to describe it. My brother and I tortured our slot car set. Memories! If I had one of those I would definitely play with it!

X-E doesn't get dugg enough. Matt is a freaking genius when he actually decides to write something.
