Knowing Fox, they'd probably remove all the negative references to Richard Nixon (probably their main reason for delaying/banning this movie) and replace all the costumes with black leather.
"god. the ending isn't changed that much, it's just not a giant squid. do you really care that much what that plot device physically looks like? the end result is still the same. relax."As long as they figure out a way to get the USA and Russia united against a greater threat (aliens). I don't see how they could do it any other way than with the (perceived) threat of an alien attack. Simply a nuclear explosion in NY City would not unite the USA and Russia into world peace.
