The BEST use of this program: You can play any QT-playable sound from the command line (including remotely through an ssh session). I think I'll make my boss's desktop play porn sounds when the HR manager is in there...

compile xine with aalib support and you can get the same thing on linux. It's been able to do that since who knows when.
