washingtonpost.com— "The browser that finally broke Microsoft's monopoly just got its first major update. If you haven't switched from Internet Explorer yet, consider Firefox 1.5 your invitation to do so."

I ditched firefox for OSX awhile back and went to Camino (only because Safari kind of sucks and OmniWeb constantly crashes and is out of date). After 1.5, I came back and it runs on all of my OSX, Windows, Linux, Solaris platforms. It runs surprisingly better on OSX than before. I even have a bunch of my favorite extensions installed and it doesn't seem to be killing my powerbook. It even looks a lot better by default. More OSX-ish and not so much like a fisher price toy.
"I just switched yesterday. Adblock + filterset.G is a godsend, as is Noscrpit and SessionSaver. :D"Another really great extension to add is the "color tabs" extension. It makes it so that every tab has a different color/shade. It sounds goofy but when you see it in action, it's really nice and helps mentally separate the content of different windows/tabs that you're dealing with. Note that there is one that has "color hashes" with little square color blocks. That is not the one to get. Get the one that colors the complete tab background. And while I'm on it - the other problem with Firefox is that a lot of good extensions are broken each time a Firefox main point release comes and it can take awhile for all your favorites to be compatible.

Most have already seen it and some people think I'm stupid, but I've been using Avant Browser for a couple of years now and still like it. Even if it is based on IE :)http://www.avantbrowser.com

The only problem with Firefox is the number of CRAP extensions you have to sort through. Seriously - why do I need an "Abe Vigoda Status Extension"?!
