I think (picks random year) 2002 was the best year: * Adaptation. * Austin Powers in Goldmember * The Bourne Identity * Catch Me If You Can * Chicago * Gangs of New York * Hero * Kung Pow: Enter the Fist * The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers * Men in Black II * My Big Fat Greek Wedding * National Lampoon's Van Wilder * The New Guy * Orange County * The Rookie * The Scorpion King * Signs * Spider-Man * The Tuxedo
s**t. I was gonna pull a giant "f**k that, 1939!". But you know what? This is an awesome list of movies. Huzzah 1984! These aren't timeless, evocative cinema classics like 1939's fare, but damn if these aren't good, clean fun.Except Footloose. Ew.
Bruges seemed long and tedious to me. Not what I really expected. You may be right about Slumdog. Personal tastes. For me, I thought it had enough layers to it to make it better than average. Good story and a interesting backdrop of life in India.

I thought In Bruges was pretty good. Slumdog Millionaire = Overrated.
