I was beat. IMO it is *never* right to spank/hit a child. All that teaches them is that it's ok to hurt someone if you're angry. Either that or it's acceptable to hit someone to get your point across. Neither one seems right to me. : /I am 31 already and still afraid to have children because I don't want to repeat the cycle. Also, when I was beat I quickly figured out that it's nothing to be afraid of. The more you hit your kids the more quickly they become desensitized and unafraid of you.
