Wait, wait. YouTube is constantly sucking the money out of VCs in order to maintain it's incredibly horrible business model (A model where lots of money out and little money in somehow means "You're successful) and now they are taking the little money they are getting in and redirecting it towards royalties? The 2.0 burst starts with YouTube, I just hope someone is there to liveblog it with a nifty AJAX app.

Warner Music Actually Allowing Fair Use?I Hope the RIAA doesn't Find out, Warner May Get Sued

Uh, yeah, because people are clamoring for unwatchably bad compressed garbage at 320x240 and mono.I think the real question is why, instead of whining about piracy and suing, the record companies haven't started selling music-video collections on DVD. Especially with the whole '80s revival that has come and largely gone. A golden opportunity to cash in on the videos everyone loved back when there was M on MTV.
