Why is Sony brilliant?A: Unlike CD, Sony owns the Blu-Ray license completely. B: Sony's gaming division positioned it to be in people's home in Holiday 06 without any added cost to the consumer. PS3 is expected to be the "must-have" for Holiday 06, begging the question "why spend $200 for a second DVD player?"C: Because Sony also is a content provider, Sony's media division can commit to it out of the gate, allowing Sony to have a head-start. Toshiba had to convince studios to sign on and had to convince those studios to ignore Sony's (which contains the Columbia, RKO, and MGM/UA titles) prior commitment. The war is over. Thank goodness the consumer didn't have to pay.

Are you all crazy, they are not supporting the consumer(Us) so we should not support them. In ANY form!
