Uh, no... the clueless one here is you, my friend.A "steep learning curve" indicates that the difficulty in learning something is heavily weighted towards the initial period of the learning process; this makes it "steep". A "shallow" or "gradual" learning curve gradually gains in difficulty as you continue to progress in understanding. It's quite similar to the idea of climbing a "steep" hill or a "shallow" slope, if you'd like a metaphor for difficulty v. progress.

Dugg for mentioning Ebbinghaus research, the Author clearly knows his stuffbut yeah all this algorithm's stuff is useless if you are swarmed with hundreds of new facts each day ( currently in med school @_@)

Agreed, a very good article. But I would hope that parents realize that the education system in this country (and many others) is more about teaching the most basic tools: reading, writing, simple math, socialization and cultural indoctrination. If you want your child to really learn then I would suggest using helpful tools like this along with many others and doing the job yourself.

Interesting idea, but where is the MAC OS version? Seems the idea needs some software specialists...
