techcrunch.com — InvespBlog has published what it claims is an interview with a top Digg user - someone who has a 34% success ratio in getting submitted stories to the home page of Digg. The Digg user isn?t named - he or she says ?I have a reputation to withhold? (we know what they meant). (It ain't Mr. BabyMan, for the record.)

Don't you think it's funny how the beginning of the article they refer to the Digger as "he/she" and then a paragraph later (the next sentence!) it's revealed that he's a man?

There`s not only one user that gets paid there are actually several. No names will be given cause it`s not nice. There is a little forest gnome that hits the front page more times than he actually can count up to in a day. If this really happens on Digg then Digg should take action not it`s users.

Why would anyone pay that much. There is no way that a front page would be worth that in advertising.

If I were to not reveal myself, I would add or lower that number.

Two pieces of identifying information: active since 2006, and the 34% popular ratio.IF this info is true (and reasonably, I'd expect it not to be) you're still not really narrowing down the field.Example: Digg user michaelpinto joined in May, and has a popular ratio of 33%. http://digg.com/users/michaelpintoWhere do we go from here? Cmon folks-- Trying to de-anonymize is fun, but levying accusations is going way, way too far.
