the-gadgeteer.com — Gadgeteer Julie bought a Zune to review and found it skipped on most of her music. So she took it back to Walmart for a refund and they give her the first degree: where did she get the music, was it hers, maybe it was the music that was bad? Then her final comment: "I am going to have to call the main office Monday and find out what the deal is.."

Mine works perfect, I can't wait to one day replace it with one with a larger hard drive.I do like how my Archos can just be opened up and the hard drive swapped, or the batteries replaced.

She had to buy a piece of garbage laptop just to evaluate a Zune? Why would a mac addict be chosen to evaluate a microsoft product? From the looks of things, it's not like she is the office audio review girl, so why not get someone who knows how to use a PC or at least owns one in the first place to do the review? Maybe that makes too much sense, but giving her that loaded task is like asking a Chevy nut to fairly review a Ford product. I don't buy her little blog for a moment, as an anti-walmart or anti-Zune piece, for both the reasons above and the fact that anyone else (including Best Buy, CompUSA etc) with the exception of Costco or Sam's Club would have charged her a restock fee and probably would have asked her a few questions too on top of that.

I tried to return my Zune after it broke and had a horrific incident. The staff were laughing saying "look at that old thing! this man is tryin to return some old 1980's crap". Two of the employees actually poked me with their fingers saying trying to return product from years past is a good way to get arrested. I pleaded that I purchased it yesterday and they still refused, saying they weren't "born yesterday" that they have seen betamax players more recent than my Zune which they told me was a big clunky brown box probably built in 1986. grr!!!!!
