consumerist.com — SuperBad DVDs containing fake Hawaii drivers licenses featuring the name and likeness of Fogel aka "McLovin" were yanked from Walmart shelves after the state of Hawaii objected. The mayor of Honolulu said, "It was foolish of the movie studio to include this prop... it could be used by unscrupulous people to deceive others..."

"We're very pleased that Wal-Mart has taken prompt, corrective measures to comply with the City's request to protect the integrity of our driver's license. It was foolish of the movie studio to include this prop in the DVD, particularly because it could be used by unscrupulous people to deceive others who are unfamiliar with our driver's license. For example, those who saw 'Superbad' know the underage teenager used his fake Hawaii license to buy liquor," Mayor Hannemann said in a statement. If the government in Hawaii think that Hawaii is a CITY, then they have a lot more to worry about than a stupid fake ID that comes with a DVD.

But that just means the "unscrupulous people" will only have to wait for 4 years.... THEN they can buy beer. It's really a fool-proof plan.

I think this is the only way Hawaii can actually get "on the map". Do they need publicity? I think there must be a shortage of Hawain drivers licenses. Do they realize how many fake ID's are out there?
