thinkmoderate.com — This has gone on too long and we can't sit back and let major news corporations determine the fate of this once great nation. We must change policy and keep the mainstream media from running and ruining our lives.

The problem is only aggrandized by our reliance upon public regulation of industry. We end up creating massive bearaus for each industry to solve a problem, and once that problem goes away the bearau stays. And it wants more money, and it wants more control and more power, and then we can't get rid of that bearau because we'll lose jobs. All the while, corporate lobbyists are in bed with politicians who pass laws that regulate industry in favorable ways, or at least provide a good loophole (pollution credits, anyone?).

It seems to me that almost anything that goes against the common consensus is a conspiracy theory and doesn't deserve to be examined critically. When one hears the words "conspiracy theory" it tells the person everything they need to and want to know about the thing and no need to even check if there are any facts that can be verified. After all what's the point, it's just some loonie bin theory..I wonder who are the real delusional idiots you are talking about..

I respect your opinion but i must say that I disagree. I really don't think that the democracy system is even close to what many people think it is. Things often look different on paper than on practice. Only thing that is needed to control the people in so called democratic society (or any other type) is to manipulate people's opinions. As I see it we don't really have our own self thought opinions on most things. As Benjamin Disraeli said: "There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics."

Quit whining about media. Learn to read, do a little research, get off your duff and vote. If you are too lazy to do that you deserve what you get.
